Timber Lake is off the beaten path, which suits us just fine. On the map, Timber Lake might look like it's "in the middle of nowhere." When you take a closer look, you'll see it's right in the middle of everything!

The Timber Lake and Area Museum has permanent exhibits of Lakota Sioux artifacts, clothing, and photos, 65-million-year-old fossils, homestead and early reservation-era photos, and much more. Exhibits change frequently. Admission is free.

West Dakota Health Center is a Primary Care/Rural Health Clinic operated by Mobridge Regional Hospital

The Community Health Nurse serves Timber Lake and neighboring communities

The Dewey County Library has 30,000 volumes and free public internet access

The municipal airport has two runways, one lighted
