Lois A. Marshall, 83, of rural Timber Lake passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND due to complications from a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at United Parish Church in Timber Lake with Pastor Maribeth Anderson officiating.

Burial was beside her husband in the Timber Lake Cemetery. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge was in charge of arrangements.

The funeral service for Kermit Leroy Red Dog, 36, of Timber Lake was Saturday, August 9, 2008 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte. Mother Marian Rectenwald and Lay Reader Darlene Traversie officiated. Burial was at On The Tree Cemetery near On The Tree under the direction of the Oster Funeral Home of Mobridge

Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia McLaughlin, 85, of Wakpala was on Monday, July 21, 2008 at St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Wakpala. Fr. Tony Grossenberg officiated. Burial was at the McLaughlin Family Cemetery at the Good Elk Ranch near Mahto under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Mrs. McLaughlin passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at her residence.

The funeral mass for Lisa Marie Farlee, 42, of Eagle Butte was Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte High School Auditorium. Burial was in the Farlee Family Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge

Lisa entered the spirit world on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Indian Health Service Hospital in Eagle Butte less than forty feet from where she was born

Despite heroic efforts to revive her, Lisa died from internal injuries caused when the four-wheeler she was riding crashed on the prairie that she loved. Except for a few years working and attending school, Lisa lived, laughed and loved her entire life in Eagle Butte.

Dorothy Rousseau, 90, of Spearfish died Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Spearfish.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Spearfish with Father Timothy Hoag as Celebrant. Burial took place at the Rose Garden at Rose Hill Cemetery on Thursday, July 3, 2008.

Alfred Kenneth “Bud” Van Dusen, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 15, 2008 at his home at Panorama located in Lacey, WA.

Bud was born in Shaokatan Township, MN on February 5, 1917 to Avery and Anna Van Dusen. At the age of 12, Bud moved with his family to Timber Lake.

Mary Lu Rousseau, 63, passed away peacefully at home in Ridgeview on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 following a long courageous battle with cancer.
Mary Lu will be honored at Sundance in mid-July and her ashes scattered there and at the Mossman Cemetery according to her wishes. The family is planning a memorial dinner following Sundance. The date will be announced later.
