Stephanie Faye Four Bear, 59, of Timber Lake entered the Spirit World on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Aberdeen.

A service was be held Monday, April 29 at the Timber Lake Community Center. A graveside service was held at St. James Episcopal Cemetery at Cannon Ball, ND.

Stephanie Faye Buckley was born to William Buckley and Rose Mae (Shell Track) Buckley on November 11, 1964, at Ft. Yates, ND. She was raised in Cannonball and was educated at Cannonball, Wahpeton Indian School, and Portland, OR. She later received her general education diploma with CRST. She continued her education with the Presentation College thereafter.

She moved to Timber Lake in the early 80’s, raising her children and grandchildren there for the remainder of her years. Stephanie lived her life enjoying it with her family and friends. It didn’t matter if it was visiting, playing cards, board games, cooking, being outdoors, sewing and beading or doing fundraisers for the children.

She spent many years cooking for the Bigfoot Riders and helping wherever she could with Lakota culture events. She was employed with many programs; CRST Housing Authority, as a youth coordinator, the U.S. Census Bureau, Grand River Casino, and for the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Expedition to name a few.

Stephanie is survived by her children Brandon Miner, Billie Miner and Samual Four Bear; her grandchildern Cameron Miner, Bethany Archambault and Jaymee Archambault; siblings John Buckley Sr., Evelyn Good House, Donita Mellette, and Jennifer Buckley; and numerous family that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Stanley Four Bear; her children Bethany Miner, Molly Ann Four Bear and Brittany Miner; siblings Dennis Buckley and Williamette Miner; and many other relatives who made their journey before her.
