Parties sign agreement

Less than 24 hours before a circuit judge was to hear arguments to determine the fate of a herd of wild horses at Lantry, a settlement agreement was signed by the parties.


Dewey County State’s Attorney Steve Aberle, who led the legal effort to have the ownership of the estimated 540 horses transferred from the International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros (ISPMB), said it was a “win-win” situation.
