Isabel town board considers paying for law enforcement

Contributing to the county law enforcement coffers in exchange for patrol hours in town was discussed at the monthly meeting of the Isabel Town Board on Monday. County Commissioner John Meginness attended the meeting to ask the municipal board if they would consider an agreement in the future.

“I guess what we’re looking for is some financial help for the patrolling and support,” Meginness said. “We’re running into trouble to keep it all going, too. It costs us $28.50 per hour to patrol.”
