The Timber Lake Panther varsity volleyball team should be a strong contender for another District 15B title this season. With regular season matches beginning this week (Timber Lake’s first game is today, Thursday August 24) TLHS has experience and talent returning.

Eight returning letterwinners, including six seniors, are taking the court for the Panthers this fall. Timber Lake won the district championship last season and was beaten by Harding County in the Region 8B match. Head coach Cassius Kocer said the returning experience is the team’s strength, and some talent in the underclass group will bolster the unit further. “We also have a group of underclassmen who have made a lot of great strides our first week of practice,” Kocer said. “We are setting our sights on making it to Rapid for the state tournament.”
