Timber Lake City Council approves first reading of 2018 budget ordinance

If adopted as proposed at a special meeting Monday night, the City of Timber Lake will have its first million dollar budget next year.

The council met August 28, a week later than scheduled, because there was no quorum on August 21. Between the two dates, Ward I alderman Jess Schlosser resigned. His letter of resignation was read and accepted Monday night, leaving Ward I with no representation. The other Ward I seat has been vacant for some time.
