The Isabel town board, facing a sales tax revenue shortfall and a budget that is tough to balance, decided at a special meeting Monday night to pledge $6200 to local law enforcement in the 2018 budget.

The board will divert $5,000 from planned upgrade of the city municipal building to give to Dewey County for the Sheriff’s budget. In addition, the operating agreement for Sparky’s Bar and Grill has been amended to include an extra $100 per month. This extra $1,200 per year will be earmarked for the law enforcement fund.
