Ideas exchanged at third Community Conversation

Strategies to develop the local economy and to improve City Park dominated the discussion at the third community conversation meeting held March 26. The meeting was hosted by Timber Lake & Area Development and the Timber Lake Topic.

Mayor Clyde Pfeifle reported that city personnel are considering two options to deal with the frequent flooding at the city park. One option is to add fill and raise the level of the current park location while the other is to move the park west to a higher elevation. The goal of either option is to add facilities and increase the usefulness of the park. Pfeifle presented a general vision of playground equipment, campsites, RV hookups, picnic shelters and horseshoe pits, along with proper lighting and rest rooms.
