CRSTTA moving ahead with Timber Lake fiber

After receiving surveys, letters and personal testimony of support, the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Telephone Authority Board of Directors decided at its June 27 meeting to take the next step toward bringing fiber service to the Timber Lake community.

“The board was encouraged by the community support,” said CRSTTA General Manager Mona Thompson. She said CRSTTA will seek regulatory approval from the S.D. Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a process that is expected to take 60 to 90 days.
