On a 3-2 roll call vote, the Timber Lake City Council granted approval for vacating the alley in Block 5 as requested by property owners Dale LaCompte and the BIA. That action, taken at the Sept. 5 council meeting, came after a public hearing at which about a dozen people gave their opinions on closing the alley and the related subject of the proposed Family Dollar Store to be located there.
