At its October 3 meeting, the Timber Lake City Council set Nov. 6 for an election on the council’s decision to vacate the alley in Block 5. A petition calling for a referendum vote on Resolution #1067 was filed with the City Finance Officer on September 27 by Jean Tehle. It was signed by 45 people. One signer was determined not to be a registered voter but only 16 signatures were required.

The petition was declared valid and a motion to set the election for Nov. 6 was made by Lilian Turcotte and passed unanimously.
