Sutton would be good for South Dakota

One-party dominance does not necessarily result in the best governance and this year Democrat Billie Sutton offers an opportunity to put some balance into South Dakota’s state government. From his position as the minority leader in the Senate, Sutton has had to work with

Republicans. He knows the legislators, the departments of state government, the budget, and the challenges facing the state and can hit the ground running when elected. It’s an advantage for us that he has been in Pierre the past eight years while his opponent has been in Washington.
