The Timber Lake School Board got a sneak preview of the school district’s annual Report Card from the Dept. of Education at its November 14 regular meeting. The board also accepted the resignation of Middle School English teacher Jami Kesling, effective at the end of the school year.

The Dept. of Education will publish the Report Cards for all districts on the DOE website next week but Supt. Dan Martin and Principals Julie Marshall and Danae Paxton showed some preliminary figures.

Scores for the testing done in the spring of 2018 for grades 3-8 and 11 showed Timber Lake School District above average in most grades for both math and English Language Arts.

“All Timber Lake staff are instrumental with the positive results on the soon-to-be released report card,” Martin said. “What separates Timber Lake from other schools is we continue to strive on correcting weaknesses while seeking continued growth in all areas.”
