The Timber Lake City Council met Monday evening with a substantial agenda. Mayor Tim Gunderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 with all members present.

The council heard from Joel Schweitzer regarding plans to set up a wireless internet connection between the football field and school. Schweitzer informed the council that he would be meeting with a consultant the next morning in order to plan the project. He asked if it would be possible to consider the water tower or airport to bounce the signal. He assured the council that this signal would not interfere with the Timber Lake Broadband signal. The board responded agreeably to this idea.

Schweitzer also asked about the status of the broadband service and the reason that it has been unavailable for so many days recently. The service was off on Monday and Tuesday.

Later in the meeting the council heard a report on the broadband department from TLB CEO Ryan Farlee. He stated that there had been several service outages recently. He had tried replacing a wire on the water tower but that had not helped. A repair technician from Celerity Broadband in Pierre was scheduled to arrive Tuesday morning to help get the system up and running.
