District 28 legislators Oren Lesmeister of Parade (LEFT) and Ryan Maher of Isabel spoke to a gathering of the S.D. Stockgrowers at Isabel on Jan. 19.

A crowd of more than 30 local livestock producers gathered at Sparky’s on Saturday for an area meeting of the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association.

Geppert related the story of the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) banners placed in the Rapid City Regional Airport and how the response ad campaign from the Beef Council sought to effectively counter it.
