Panthers beat up Newell in rescheduled road tilt

Isaac Kraft and the Panthers are ready to enter the Region 8 tournament with the top seed.

The Newell Irrigators played host to the Timber Lake Panthers boys basketball team on Monday, February 18 in a game that was originally supposed to take place on February 8 but had to be rescheduled due to poor weather conditions. The Panthers were successful on this road trip, going 2-for-2 on the night. The junior varsity boys kicked off the night with a 58-29 victory while the varsity boys won by a score of 65-40.

In the junior varsity game, Trevor Brangham led the way for the Panthers with 14 points. Hank Kraft, Matt Jewett, and Daryen Ley each chipped in seven points of their own as well. Taylor Goldade, Sawyer Holzer, and Brandt Ducheneaux all scored four points. Guard Jayce Lawrence earned three points from sinking a 3-pointer. Hunter Schremmp, Dixon Booth, Chase Marshall, and Jaiden Ducheneaux all scored two points. Kedrick Martin also contributed one point for the Panthers during their 58-29 win.
