Panthers at first outdoor meet: Heck breaks meet records, Krafts qualify for state

The Wall Invitational was held on Saturday, April 6 in Wall. The Panthers had a good day out on the track. Two meet records were broken by Timber Lake senior Kuper Heck in the 400 meter and 800 meter races. Isaac Kraft qualified in the triple jump and high jump events, and Shay Kraft also qualified in the triple jump event.

The Timber Lake boys finished second overall as a team with 93 total points.

In the men’s events, Timber Lake’s day was highlighted by senior Kuper Heck and his outstanding performances in the 400 and 800 meter runs in which he set meet records. Heck posted times of 52.88 seconds in the 400 meter and 2:07.53 in the 800 meter. Isaac Kraft also had a great meet, finishing first in the high jump event with a mark of 6’ and second in the triple jump with 40.7’. In addition to the triple jump and high jump events Kraft qualified in, he also finished in second place in the 200 meter dash with a final time of 23.94 seconds.
