The Isabel Town Board met on topics old and new at the regular monthly meeting on April 15. In addition to handling the agenda, they set a special meeting for the purpose of looking into establishing a Tax Increment Financing district.

Brandon Heck, owner of Tri-County Chiropractic, told the board of his plans to build a new commercial building on the former Isabel Dakotan lots. He asked if there were markers on the Main Street lots, which there are not. In order to be sure he is within one foot of the lot line for building, the board advised Heck to have it professionally surveyed.

Heck also asked about the possibly of establishing a TIF district. This was discussed in the past with Joe Locken of Locken Oil.

Trustee Ryan Maher said he looked up the ordinances the town would have to change in order to create the district and suggested a special meeting for Monday, April 22 to follow up.
