Isabel Town Board reorganizes with one vacant seat

The Isabel Town Board reorganized at the May meeting held Monday evening, adding a new board member and losing one.

Old business was handled first. Bids for haying the airport land were opened. The winning bid was from Robert Martin for $1280.

A motion was passed for the town to contribute to employee IRAs one time at year end, while employees may contribute monthly.

A first reading of the garbage container ordinance was held.

When the board adjourned and reconvened, chair trustee Bridget Russell tendered her resignation. She has served as chair for several terms and has been on the board for more than a decade. Her fellow trustees thanked her.
