Members of the new Timber Lake Town Board (L-R) Mike LaCompte, John Linderman, Josh Lemburg, Jess Schlosser, and Tom Hermes were seated at the annual reorganization meeting on Monday night.

The Timber Lake City Council, with Mayor Tim Gunderson presiding for a final time, concluded their governance and the new board of trustees took office on Monday night. The change in format of municipal government was mandated by a vote in the city election last November.

After adjourning as the council, the four elected town board members, Josh Lemburg, Jess Schlosser, Mike LaCompte and Tom Hermes, each took the oath of office.

Outgoing council member Lilian Turcotte was not present, and Gunderson, who lost to Schlosser in an election for a seat on the board, did not stay for the remainder of the meeting.

Hermes nominated John Linderman for the fifth trustee position, a one-year term. Lemburg seconded the motion, which passed.

The board elected Hermes as president, and Lemburg as vice-president.
