At the Isabel Town Board meeting on Monday evening, Gary Mound of the CRST Telephone Authority presented two invoices for cut cable repairs. They dated from April of 2014 and November of 2015, and the total charge is $1204.09.

Board members tried to determine the exact location where the lines were cut and who did the digging. Maintenance Supt. Frankie Ducheneaux reasoned that since Isabel does not own a backhoe or digging equipment, the work must have been done by some other entity.

She assured Mound, “We want to get to the bottom of this as much as you do.” The board agreed to work with the Telephone Authority to find out who is responsible for the repair bills.
