The countdown is over. Timber Lake’s big Days of 1910 Celebration promises to be one of the best in recent years.

The 100th anniversary of Western Dakota Bank and its predecessors opens the festivities with a roast beef supper, local talent and music by Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band on Wednesday night, and a full slate of activities, including the German supper and talent show, follows on Thursday.

Competing in the SDRA-NRCA sanctioned rodeo will be some of the best ropers and riders in the region, and the demolition derby has added a chain class to the Friday night show.

At last count there were six class reunions on the schedule plus artists and authors at the museum, the Dewey County Fair, street sports, and the vendor fair in the tent.
