Panthers flatten Faith, move to 2-0

The Timber Lake Panthers moved to 2-0 on the season in 9-man football, defeating the Faith Longhorns 40-22 Friday night in Faith. The Panthers jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and outscored Faith 26-8 in the first half, as TLHS put up 391 yards of total offense while holding Faith to 120 yards. Quarterback Kedrick Martin was 12-for-18 passing for 129 yards and a touchdown, spreading it around to six TL receivers. Matt Jewett was the yardage leader with 61 yards on two catches, while Isaac Kraft had the most receptions with 6 for 46 yards. Taylor Goldade caught a 3-yard TD pass. The bulk of the TL rushing attack went through Hank Kraft, who had 19 carries for 177 yards and 4 TDs. Slater Ducheneaux added 7 carries for 246 yards and 1 TD. This Friday is Timber Lake’s open date, so the Panthers will not play a game.
