The Panther boys edged out Faulkton to win the North Central Invitational cross country meet Sept. 28 at Eureka.

Faulkton’s Andrew Sorenson and Hunter Niederbaumer finished 1st-2nd, but Timber Lake’s Ian Beyer, Beau DuBray and Caleb Bieber finished 3-4-6 and Ethan Farlee placed 8th to give the Panthers the edge in the team standings, 12 - 15.

This meet was added to TLHS’s schedule when Faulkton was cancelled.

“This was a very small meet but the course is challenging enough with hills on the back side of the 2000 and 3000m loops,” Coach Donna Aberle said.

This is the second meet the boys varsity has won this year. All other meets have been a second place finish. Looking good, considering at no meet has the varsity squad been to full force given missing runners or runners performing with injuries.
