Gloria Jean Riemath Cousins passed away on September 14, 2019 at the age of 78.

Gloria was born February 16, 1941 to Ike and Shirley Riemath, the oldest of five siblings. She grew up in Firesteel, where she attended elementary school. She was a cheerleader for the Firesteel Bulldogs.

Gloria spent summers employed by local families. She watched after children, helped with housework and did other jobs as needed. She was employed by Mary Biegler, Swede Marshall and several others.

On April 9, 1958 she married Robert Cousins and moved with her new husband to Fort Sill, OK. They had three children, Clayton, Juanita and Andrew.

Her father passed away in 1962 and her mother in 1965. At this time Gloria took on the responsibility of raising her three siblings, Linda, Warren and Richard. Her other brother, Art, was in the Air Force and was stationed in the Far East.

Gloria was very talented in arts and crafts. She made Barbie doll clothes for the young girls, all sorts of household items, and decor. She turned her hobby into a career and was manager of several Ben Franklin stores in the San Antonio, TX area.
