TL tops New Underwood 20-14

The Panther football team got back to their winning ways Friday at New Underwood, knocking off a tough Tiger team 20-14.

Timber Lake (5-1) entered the fourth quarter trailing 14-8, but tied the game at 14-14 with a 49-yard breakaway TD run by senior Isaac Kraft in the fourth. Later, younger brother Hank Kraft broke one off for 35 yards for the winning score. New Underwood (4-2) scored both of its touchdowns in the fourth quarter, eclipsing an 8-0 halftime lead by TLHS.

This Friday is the final home game of the season as the Panthers host the Bison Cardinals (0-6). October 17 will see the Panthers travel to Harding County (5-1). The Ranchers beat a tough Lemmon-McIntosh team at Lemmon Friday and will be a tough test for a TLHS team that, even in a tough Region 4A, is in contention to be a playoff team.
