Changes coming to Farlee’s Advanced Wireless, Timber Lake Broadband

The owner of Advanced Wireless LLC and recently-acquired Timber Lake Broadband says plans are to merge the two entities into one company and adjust the business model by changing its packages and prices.

Ryan Farlee served as manager and administrator of Timber Lake Broadband for its entire nearly 11 year existence, but resigned his position earlier this year when city officials announced their intentions to cut ties with the system by either selling it to the highest bidder or discontinuing operations. After no bids were received in an initial offering, a second round of bids was advertised. Farlee offered to buy the system for $500 and - despite its estimated value of $100,000 - the Timber Lake City Board agreed to terms with Farlee and he assumed ownership of Timber Lake Broadband on November 15. He’s owned and operated Advanced Wireless since October 2017.

Since closing on the sale, Farlee said he’s been putting together all the legal paperwork and licenses required to combine the businesses and services.
