Incumbent District 28A State Rep. Oren Lesmeister of Parade (RIGHT) defeated Dean Schrempp of Lantry in the Democratic primary contest on Tuesday. Lesmeister received 737 votes to Schrempp’s 255 in the three-county district. In Dewey County, the count was 426 for Lesmeister and 99 for Schrempp. In Corson County, Lesmeister had 141 and Schrempp had 95, and in Ziebach the tally was 170 for Lesmeister and 61 for Schrempp. Lesmeister has no Republican opposition in November.
