Beth Clark Oster

Beth Clark Oster passed away July 30, 2019 at Friendship Health and Rehab in Pewee Valley, KY. She was the last surviving child of George W. and Amy B. Clark. Beth and her husband, Jake, who preceded her in death, had three children: Virgil, Dianne, and Randall.

Robert (Bob) Boehler

Robert (Bob) Boehler, 60, of Rapid City died Friday, July 19, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital after an 18-month battle with cancer.

He was born December 25, 1958 in Aberdeen to Darwin and Gwen (Schwall) Boehler. Bob was a 1977 graduate of Rapid City Stevens High School He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in education from SDSU.

Jerry Allen Clown, 46, of Dupree entered the spirit world Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the I.H.S. Hospital, Eagle Butte.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Dupree Multipurpose Building. Burial was in the Dupree City Cemetery.

Dawn Lynn Bad Warrior, 46, of Timber Lake passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in a single car accident in rural Armstrong County (Southeast Dewey County).

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte, Mother Margaret Watson presided. Burial was in the Green Grass Cemetery.

Cleo Faye Martin

Cleo Faye Martin of Rapid City died July 21, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

She was born March 6, 1935 in Dupree to Clyde and Florence (Vance) Campbell. She attended school atTimber Lake until her senior year, then moved to Pierre in 1952-53 where her father, Clarence Grage, was employed at Oahe Dam. She graduated from high school in Pierre.

Cleo married Larry D Martin of Onida on December 21, 1955 in Rapid City. She was employed by the State of South Dakota in Vermillion and the banking industry as a teller and a loan officer in Rapid City. She was also employed while in Denver, CO, with Wilferly Equipment Company.

Her interests and pastimes included reading, baking, gardening, and playing the organ.

Cleo is preceded in death by her mother, Florence, and her adoptive father, Clarence Grage.

Lillian Grace Torevell

A memorial service for Lillian Torevell, 80, of Mobridge was July 29, 2019 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Inurnment was at the Timber Lake Cemetery. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge was in charge of arrangements.

Lillian passed away July 23, 2019 at the Bowdle Nursing Home in Bowdle.

She was born March 5, 1939 in Mobridge to George and Cynthia (Butler) Torevell. Her siblings were Glenn (May) Torevell, Leon (Marlene) Torevell and Katherine (Bob) Ward. Lillian grew up on the family farm outside of Timber Lake (near Miscol).

She graduated from Timber Lake High School in 1958 and attended cosmetology school in Aberdeen at Stewart’s. Lillian worked and resided in Redfield, then moved to Mobridge, where she ran a beauty shop and worked at Kesling Funeral Home for over 20 years. Lillian worked at the Mobridge Police Department as a dispatcher until she retired.

Doris Mae Frankfurth

A Service of Remembrance for Doris Mae Frankfurth, 84, of Faith was held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Legion Hall in Faith. Rev. Mark Richardson officiated. Burial was at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Faith was in charge of arrangements.

Doris passed away at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Belle Fourche on Saturday, July 27, 2019.

Doris Mae Teller was born on May 25, 1935 at the family homestead in rural Ziebach County to Lloyd and Bernice (Vansickel) Teller. She attended grade school at the Lewis School, now known as Red Elm School, and graduated from Dupree High School in 1953.

After graduation, she awaited her love’s return from serving in the US Army in Korea. Marvin Frankfurth and Doris were united in marriage on June 19, 1954. They made their home in Dupree. Their son, Arlen (“Hoss,”) was born on July 23, 1961. In the 60’s, they moved to Bremerton, WA for a short while.
