David Earl Kelley

David Earl Kelley, longtime Lemmon educator and coach, lost his long battle with cancer on October 21, 2019. He passed away at the age of 73 at his home in Pharr, TX with his loving wife Dorothy at his side.

David was born to Charles and week until the cancer treatments won. His hobby was making custom golf clubs. He always said that everyone playing should have a set of clubs that fit them; and you are only as good as the equipment you use.

David is survived by his wife Dorothy.

Rose Mary Enright

Rose Mary Enright, 87, of Rapid City, passed away in her sleep on October 16, 2019.

Rose was born to William and Rose Ellis in Hardin, MO on December 30, 1931. She started her schooling in Missouri and at the age of 12 her family moved to South Dakota. She graduated from high school in Gettysburg in 1950.

Funeral services for John Wall, 88, of Pukwana were held September 21, 2019 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Chamberlain with burial in the Graceland Cemetery at Oacoma.

John passed away on September 18, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain.

John Ord Wall was born November 24, 1930 at Gettysburg to Joseph Bertie and Ella (Geist) Wall. He attended country grade school in Ziebach County near Dupree and at Brookings, where he received an ag degree. He returned to the Dupree area where he and his brother started an earth moving business and began building dams. John loved flying and between the two they did not own a car but had a plane for transportation.

Mass of Christian Burial for Richard Leonard, 91, of Mobridge will be at 11 a.m. CT, Saturday, October 26, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mobridge. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

On Friday, visitation will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Parish Hall, with a liturgical wake service at 7:30 p.m. at the church.

Richard passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital surrounded by family.

Brent "Chunky" Bagola, 27, of Bear Creek passed away October 9, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. MT, Monday, October 21, 2019 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte. Burial will be at St. James Episcopal Cemetery at Bear Creek. Wake services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2019 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte, with a procession from the 4-mile junction beginning at 4 p.m. Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte is in charge of arrangements.

Jovanna Bad Warrior

Funeral services for Jovanna Bad Warrior, 39, of Eagle Butte were held October 15, 2019 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte. Burial was in St. Andrew's Episcopal Cemetery at Cherry Creek under the direction of Oster Funeral Home of Mobridge. Jovan entered the spirit world on October 6, 2019 due to injuries from a vehicle accident.

Claudette Stapert

Claudette Fern Stapert of Lantry passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House in Rapid City.

Claudette was born on Ground Hog’s Day, February 2, 1938 in Dupree, the second child (by 10 minutes) born to Milton and Lena Speker.

Claudette attended Lantry grade school and Eagle Butte High School and graduated in 1956. She started college that following summer at Black Hills Teachers College.

Her teaching career began in 1957 at the Rosene School south of Lantry with sixteen students in all eight grades. She talks about the mimeograph machine at that school and making all of their own copies.

Tammy Lynn Bybee

Tammy Lynn Bybee, 49, of southern California passed away, September 25, 2019, after a brave battle with cancer.

Cremation has already taken place. Funeral mass will be at Holy Cross Church in Timber Lake on October 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. MT. Burial of ashes will follow at the Timber Lake Cemetery.

Tammy was born December 30, 1969 in Norwalk, CA, the second of five girls born to Gary and Darlene (Quinn) Adams. She lived her whole life in southern California, but spent many summers visiting her grandparents, Gordon and Ida Quinn in Timber Lake.

Tammy lived life on her own terms. She never tried to be anything other than herself. She was an independent free spirit. As her cousin Darcy so perfectly put it, “She was so uniquely Tammy.”

Patricia Fletcher

Patricia Ann (Reinbold) Fletcher, 68, of Streetsboro, OH passed away September 26, 2019, at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, OH.

She was born February 26, 1951 in Mobridge, the oldest child of Francis James and Anna Marie (Holzer) Reinbold of Timber Lake. She and her nine siblings were raised at Timber Lake.

Patricia cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and making crafts for gifting. She and Tom had an affinity for lighthouses and spent time traveling the country and touring these historic structures. Although she spent the early years with her family in New York and in Ohio for several decades, she always considered the prairie of South Dakota home.

A Catholic in faith, Patricia was a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish in Streetsboro. She belonged to the church’s Altar Rosary Society and assisted with the bereavement luncheons.

Sheryl Fuhrer Keller

Funeral services for Sheryl Keller, 65, of Mobridge were held October 7, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge. Burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Sheryl passed away October 2, 2019 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Sheryl LaRee Fuhrer was born on November 4, 1953 in Isabel to Gilbert and Elaine (Miller) Fuhrer. The family moved to Mobridge in 1961 where she graduated from Mobridge High School in 1971.

On August 21, 1971, she married Kenneth “Fox” Keller at Trinity Lutheran Church. To this union one daughter, Stacey, was born in March 1972. Also in 1972 Sheryl started working at First National Bank in Mobridge. It turned into a 38-year banking career. She retired from Wells Fargo on February 1, 2010.
