Stuart Clinton Murdock

Stuart Murdock, 84, formerly of Timber Lake, passed away in his sleep Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Bethesda Nursing Home in Aberdeen. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home.

Stuart was born in Timber Lake in 1935 to Horace Clinton Murdock and Esther Mary (Parker) Murdock. He was baptized at the Timber Lake Methodist Church, became a member of the church, and attended services whenever possible with his mother.

Stuart’s father died in 1940 of ALS. Stuart spent his years living with his mother in Timber Lake and spent many months at various times over the years at the Crippled Children’s Hospital in Hot Springs where he underwent repeated surgeries. When Stuart’s mother entered the Mobridge Care Center, Stuart shortly followed her there, becoming a resident on October 1, 1978.

Gloria “Joan” Webb

Funeral services for Gloria “Joan” Webb, 85, of Eagle Butte were Friday, March 13, 2020, at All Saints Catholic Church in Eagle Butte. Ken Ripley was officiant. Burial was at the Eagle Butte Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Joan passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre.

Myron Eliason

Myron Eliason

Myron R. Eliason was born November 5, 1931, on his grandparents’ farm southeast of Lantry. He passed away March 3, 2020, at the Ft. Meade VA Medical Center in Sturgis. Myron had lived a faithful fulfilling life and made a well- deserved journey to heaven at the age of 88.

He graduated from Eagle Butte High School in 1950 and entered the U. S. Coast Guard in 1952. He was always very proud of his service time and set a patriotic example for others.

Myron married Betty Matz in Butte, MT, in 1954. They made their way back to the family farm and spent most of their life ranching and raising their family, Dennis born in 1958, and Debra in 1959.

Ira A. Blue Coat

Ira A. Blue Coat, 67, of Eagle Butte, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at the I.H.S. Hospital in Eagle Butte.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte and burial was at St. Thomas Cemetery at On The Tree.

Ira A. Blue Coat was born April 9, 1952 to Robert Archie and Irene (Hawk Eagle) Blue Coat at the Old Cheyenne Agency.

Ira A. Blue Coat, 67, of Eagle Butte passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at the I.H.S. Hospital in Eagle Butte.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. MT, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery at On The Tree. A wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 6 at the church, with a procession from the 4-mile corner east of town at 4:00 p.m.

Wayne Emil Boysen

Wayne Emil Boysen was born on December 31, 1933, in Mobridge to Emil and Irene (Johnson) Boysen. He was raised on the family ranch just a few miles west of Firesteel. He went to school in Firesteel, where he excelled in basketball, but early in high school, he had to quit to help on the ranch.

In his early years he broke a lot of horses to ride and there were many colorful stories about this venture. On January 18, 1953, he married Pansey Mae Axland in Isabel. To this union four children were born: three daughters and one son.

During the early years of marriage Wayne worked at the Firesteel coal mines, and then moved around working construction and on ranches, before settling down in Isabel.

He worked for the city of Isabel as head of city maintenance, water superintendent at the light plant, and city cop, and was on the ambulance crew for many years.

Funeral services for Wayne Boysen, 86, of Isabel will be at 10 a.m. MT on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Church of God in Isabel. Pastor Bryce Schaffer will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillview Cemetery at Isabel under the direction of Oster Funeral Home of Mobridge. There will be at a prayer service on Friday, February 28 at 7 p.m. MT at the church. Visitation will start at 6:30 p.m.

Martha Schweitzer

Martha Alesia Schweitzer, 83, of Rapid City passed quietly on February 20, 2020. Funeral services were held at Black Hills Funeral Home in Sturgis on Monday, February 24, 2020.

Martha was born on September 5, 1936 to John S. and Maggie Schweitzer. She joined her sisters Cecelia and Mary Ann and together they welcomed Kathleen, Dean, Marjorie, Valentine, Phyllis, Harriet and Dwight.

Jeanette Butler

Jeanette Butler, 83, of Bismarck, ND passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 9-11 a.m. CT followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Cayuga, ND. Burial will be in the spring at the Cayuga Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Jeanette Ann (Saunders) Butler was born on October 8, 1936 on a farm south of Lidgerwood, ND to Myrtle Ann Peffer and John Travis Saunders. She attended country school in Kingston County and attended high school in Lidgerwood, graduating in 1953.
