Panther cross country runners place at Ipswich Invitational

Lexy White was the only varsity runner competing for Timber Lake at the Ipswich Cross Country Invitational September 12 and made the most of the opportunity, earning a 12th place finish with a time of 22:38. With the distance change in girls cross country races from 4,000 meters to 5,000 meters, White has been fairly conservative in her pace thus far this season. Coach Donna Aberle said White has quickly grown more comfortable with the longer distance and plans to run more aggressively in upcoming events.

By Robert Slocum

The Panthers fell behind the Ranchers early when Harding County put 16 points on the scoreboard in the first quarter. Clayton Koch scored both touchdowns, one on a one-yard dive and the other on a 60-yard pass from quarterback Sam Podzimer.
