Academic Olympics winners

Timber Lake High School winners at the Northwest Area Schools Academic Olympics held in Timber Lake on April 22 were L-R: Elsie DuBray, Cody Marshall, Whitley Dupris, and Toni Mayer. Elsie placed 5th in English I and 4th in Physical Science. Cody Marshall won 5th for Individual High Points for his two first places in World History and Computer Applications. Whitley placed 5th in Algebra II and 3rd in Geometry. Toni won 4th for Individual High Points for her 4th place in English IV, 4th in Physics, and 1st in Senior Math.

Panther boys claim seventh with at M-P Rotary

The Timber Lake boys relay teams ran to top three finishes in three different events to lift the Panthers to seventh place overall at the Mobridge-Pollock Rotary Track Meet in Mobridge on April 17. Timber Lake was second in the 4x800 relay with a time of 9:58.27 and finished third in both the 4x200 and medley relays, posting times of 1:46.78 and 4:21.24, respectively.

Jewett leads girls to sixth place at M-P Rotary track meet

Sal Jewett posted a pair of first place finishes to lead the Timber Lake Lady Panthers to a sixth place finish at the Mobridge-Pollock Rotary Track Invitational in Mobridge on April 17. Jewett claimed top honors in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdle events to bring home the first gold medals of the season for the Timber Lake squad, turning in times of 18.96 seconds and 59.58 seconds, respectively. Mobridge-Pollock won the event with 162 points, followed by Sully Buttes with 137 and McIntosh at 80. Eureka-Bowdle scored 56 points, Standing Rock-Fort Yates was next with 55 and Timber Lake charted 48 points. Leola, Ipswich, McLaughlin, Edmunds Central and Wakpala rounded out the field.

Track team competes at M-P Early Bird Meet

Breezy conditions met the track teams on April 9 as they participated in the Mobridge-Pollock Early Bird Meet in Mobridge.
Aberdeen Roncalli claimed the meet's boys championship while Potter County ran away with top honors in girls competition.

The Timber Lake 7th and 8th grade girls traveling basketball team finished their season with a first place trophy at the Dairy Queen Classic in March at Mobridge, a second place trophy at the Spearfish Classic March 28 & 29, and 4th place at the Pacesetter Tournament in Huron on April 11.
