Panther preview: Fall sports season is here

By Robert Slocum

It happens every year. We get through the 2-week blitz of Days of 1910 and Isabel’s rodeo and festivities and before you can blink, there are kids walking through town with football helmets and pads. Back to school is an exciting time, and it means that fall sports season is on the way. Friday night lights, backand- forth volleys on the hard court and dewey Saturday mornings on a golf course are all ahead for local student athletes and fans of football, volleyball and cross country.

Our coverage in the Topic will build on the new program we started last fall. Our sponsors of local sports coverage have ensured we will have plenty of space in print for stories and photos, and we will again be doing a weekly highlight video show that can be found on Youtube, Facebook and at timberlaketopic. com. We will also be doing live videos pre and post-game at the games and races we cover.
