Travel: Part 3 Size Considerations

My advice to you is, if at all possible, don’t be large. I am about twice the size of an average traveler. I try to board the plane early, because when I wait to board, the expressions on the faces of anyone next to a free seat tells it all…” Please, God…have him sit somewhere else!” Fair enough.

Little Pasture on the Prairie

One of my proudest and least proud moments from a few years back... I am considerably less clueless than I was when I arrived as a greenhorn — I grew up in the suburbs for goodness sake — but life on a ranch will probably always be rife with me doing the wrong thing at the wrong time.

A few cowboy jokes

Stray Thoughts: A Small World After All

With upwards of eight billion people in 195 countries, and Earth’s surface area being approximately 197 million square miles, you would think it would be norma l to go somewhere and not meet anyone you have ever met before.

Little Pasture on the Prairie

Six weeks ago a visiting friend found an hours-old kitten in the corral. He brought her inside and I thought she was a white mouse or a tiny weasel—she looked nothing like a kitten.

Our Greatest Need

What is your greatest need? Is it a new tractor? Or a new washer/dryer? Neither, I would answer. Our greatest need is not a new thing, but a new relationship with the LORD God Almighty. Christians have this new relationship with Jesus.

Stray Thoughts: After The Call for Rain

After a long drought you finally got what you were praying for. But did you think about how you prayed and why you got so much rain? We tend to pray vigorously for the needs of our family and friends.
