Our little town is the county seat, so every August the town hosts the county fair, a weekend full of prize produce, antique tractors, sheep, chickens, calves, and bunnies, with stick horse races for the youngsters and a big rodeo to round it out.

I like school for many reasons. One thing I enjoy doing is seeing my friends. This is because they are always there to have your back and make learning more fun. Another reason is math class. It is where I learn about my favorite problems to solve using addition, subtraction, and multiplication.

The 360,000 acres of American land owned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is just the start. The CCP is purchasing more and more farmland and has a plan to drastically increase their ownership in the next few years. It’s become a growing concern of mine, and I’m working to put an end to it.

The dirt and grass smell like baking bread and the whole world feels like an oven. We’ve reached the part of summer that tends to be pretty unpleasant on the plains, but it’s ok–if the heat doesn’t make us at least a little miserable, we will dread winter too much.
