The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) on Sunday, April 11, issued a reservation-wide burn ban that will remain in place until further notice.
The ban comes as extremely dry conditions and high winds continue to create hazardous conditions for open fires.
Under the ban, all open fires - including burn barrels - are prohibited and illegal.
