The Dewey County Commissioners, at their April 13 meeting, decided to combine the two full-time positions of deputy treasurer and deputy auditor into one full-time position and to advertise the vacancy.
The action came after Treasurer Mikki Veit informed the board she would be leaving as of May 11 and a resignation letter had been submitted by Deputy Auditor Cherie Leibel.
