The service and sacrifice of a McIntosh man killed in action during the Vietnam War will be recognized by the South Dakota Departments of Veterans Affairs, Military and Transportation.
According to Corson County Veterans Service Officer Christen Schneider, a state bridge within the county will be dedicated to the late Lance Corporal Conrad Lee Flyinghorse under the Fallen Heroes Bridge Dedication Program.
Introduced in November 2019, the program names six state bridges each year after South Dakotans who died while in active service. More than 3,000 South Dakotans have died while serving their country.
