The number of active COVID-19 cases in Dewey and Ziebach counties this week dropped to their lowest since mid-July 2020, dipping to 25 in a steady drop since a mandatory 10-day lockdown of Eagle Butte was enforced at the end of November. At one point that month, the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation reported nearly 375 active cases of the coronavirus.
