Rousseau’s sentencing hearing on elder abuse conviction continued to later date
The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Council voted 10-3 last Wednesday, March 27, to remove District 6 representative Ron Rousseau from office after he was convicted in tribal court on elder abuse charges.
District 5 representatives Francine Hall and Derek Bartlett joined Rousseau in voting against his removal from office and two Tribal Council members were absent for the vote.
