The number of coronavirus cases in Dewey and Ziebach counties this week rose to their highest level in more than a year with 293 active cases reported in the two-county area on Tuesday, Jan. 11 - an increase of 48 from the previous day - keeping in step with a surge in cases happening across the state of South Dakota.
