There will be only one election at the Moreau-Grand Electric Cooperative annual meeting on October 7.
Incumbent Paul Lawrence and challenger Carl Petersen will be on the ballot for the District 4 position (Eagle Butte area). Only District 4 members will be eligible to vote.
Candidates who filed and are unopposed for three other positions are all incumbents: Royce Walker, District 1 (McLaughlin area); Lois Bartlett, District 2 (West Timber Lake/Isabel area); and Troy Wall, District 5 (Dupree area).
The nominating petitions were certified by the board at their meeting on Tuesday, August 16.
The co-op’s annual meeting will be held at the Timber Lake School on Friday, October 7.
