Dupree High School juniors, Emily Olsen, Kinzee Peterson, and Lany LaPlante were selected to serve as a Legislative Pages for the 2022 legislative season in Pierre.
Pages will be distributing legislative documents, running errands for legislators, answering phones, assisting in the Legislative Post Office, and attending committee meetings. They are volunteers, not paid employees. However, they are provided a small stipend to assist with their living expenses, such as paying for a place to stay and for buying food while in Pierre.
The Dupree students are looking forward to the experience where they can learn hands-on about state government.
Emily is the daughter of Kathy and Shawn Olsen, Kinzee is the daughter of Arliss and Kirby Peterson, and Lany is the daughter of Kenna and Sid LaPlante.
