Game, Fish & Parks: State’s 2024 grouse season harvest was the best in 24 years

The 2024 grouse hunting season was very successful, according to the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP).
The agency said Friday, June 27, that nearly 99,000 grouse were harvested throughout the 2024 season. It was also the first time the grouse season was open through the month of January, which provided an extended opportunity for hunters to hit the field.
