A new boat launch for small boats, kayaks, and ice fishing was created at Little Moreau Dam #2.
A small fishing dock was built on the face of the dam.
Improvements at Little Moreau #2 (the trout dam) at Little Moreau Recreation Area south of Timber Lake will make the popular fishing hole more accessible for visitors.
Kyle Potter, Fort Pierre Aquatic Habitat and Access Biologist for the S.D. Dept. of Game, Fish and Parks, said the project had been on the drawing board for five years and this year it became a priority.
