High winds and heavy rains cause damage and flooding

    A severe thunderstorm that rolled through the area last Tuesday night, June 8, brought with it high winds and heavy rains that caused power outages and flash flooding.

    The storm produced a small tornado that the National Weather Service confirmed touched down briefly just west of Trail City; however, no damage was reported.
