Historical Society receives Humanities Council grant
Plans for redesigning the Native American exhibit at the Timber Lake & Area Museum are the focus of a committee working with Dr. Craig Howe (LEFT) of the Center for American Indian Research and Native Studies at Martin. Committee members are L-R Jeff Mowrer, Lori Ward, and Melody Marshall.
Thanks to funding from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), non-profit organizations in South Dakota — including museums, libraries, historical societies, universities, and more — have been able to continue providing humanities services during the covid pandemic.
