A former Isabel boy, Daniel C. Schmidt, was released recently by the Chinese Reds. Schmidt was one of eleven airmen the Chinese Reds imprisoned in January, 1953, when their B29 was shot down during the Korean War. During Schmidt’s imprisonment his wife remarried.
